Episode 22 - “The Caste System”
Carrie wonders if it’s possible to date outside of your caste (or class). This should be right up my alley as someone that is unemployed and stays at home while his wife works a well-paying job. However, I think it would be better to look at this through untainted eyes. For the purposes of this entry, I am not married and never have been. Also, I’m bagillionaire.
As a bagillionaire, it’s very hard to find women in my class. The Upper Upper Upper Upper Class is an exclusive clique. (We call ourselves the 4 Ups. There are jackets involved.) The meager mate selection mainly comes as the result of regal inbreeding. Sure, it’s nice to do it with a princess but most princesses don’t look like any of the ones on my Disney Princess bed sheets.
Therefore, you have to go outside your class. Trust me, there are some fine women in the UpUpMids. Those are the ones you want. They’re close enough to have seen luxury but just too far away to taste it. And they will do anything to taste it. Anything. Ever seen a woman juggle live monkeys and bowling pins at the same time while dressed like Cliff Huxtable in the episode where Theo gets his ear pierced? Me either but when I find the woman that will, I’m going to marry her.
What am I trying to say? Dating outside of your class is possible and it’s really fun if you are the higher-classed person. So, make a lot of money and go mess with some people poorer than you. You’ll be glad you did.
