Episode 19 - “The Chicken Dance”

Let me set a scene for you:

The year was 1985. I was at a baseball card show in Wall, New Jersey. It was a big day as two of New York baseball’s finest players were going to be in attendance: Keith Hernandez of the New York Mets and Dave Winfield of the New York Yankees. I got on line for each player with hopes of having some cards signed. I brought my 1985 Topps Keith Hernandez and my 1984 Donruss Dave Winfield.

When I got to the front, Keith took my card and signed it. Dave Winfield decided at that moment to get a water break. I cried and begged him to sign it. He said, “Next time, kid.” Then, Keith took a chair and swung it at Dave yelling, “This is for the young boy’s honor as well as the honors of other young boys just like him.” Keith swung the chair ten times and connected three times proving that, no matter what, he is a .300 hitter. He then mussed my hair and told me to not let the mean, old Yankee get me down. From that moment on, I was a Mets fan.

So, it should come as no surprise that I would side with Carrie on being upset with Big for not signing the wedding card in this episode. Signing a card is a huge deal. I don’t know what Big is doing to Carrie but he needs to smarten up. Otherwise, I’m not going to be a fan of Big’s either.

I’m a Carrie if you skipped the previous three paragraphs.
