Episode 2 - “Models and Mortals”
We are introduced to the term “modelizer.” A modelizer is someone that exclusively dates models. Contrary to the feelings of the show, I think this practice is fine. In general, I think it is important to limit yourself to dating a certain type of person. The hackneyed question is “What is your type?” after all. For example, I exclusively date my wife. My wife is my type and since she is a unique individual, I have a very limited dating pool. Other people like women who dress up like animals, so that they can dress up like animals, and then bump furry uglies.
Therefore, the problem has to lie in the type. Models are attractive people with perfect bodies and inconsequential personalities. I don’t see a problem there. That sounds pretty good to me. Is it too late to change my type? It probably is.
Regardless, the episode explores the concept of the modelizer and whether beauty does bring power. (It does. Have you met Crush from American Gladiators? Aye, chi-wah-wah!) It ends with Big (who seems like a well-chiseled Yoda, thus far) saying models are nice and then dispensing the swoonable comment: “After a while, you just want to be with the one that makes you laugh.” I completely agree as long as the funny person has a great ass.
